We all know that Christmas is a season of giving and I don’t know what I want for Christmas. I wish we could say I’m lucky because I never had to say I don’t know what I want for Christmas but I can still give thanks for Santa. It’s not every day you get a gift and I think it’s the most appreciated and well received gifts that one person receives in a year.
We all know that most of us don’t get much this year for Christmas because we just got a pay cut. We will have less money than before and even though we are the lucky ones that Santa delivered gifts to each family, it’s still very hard to afford it. Sometimes when you are under the Christmas tree, it seems like the whole house is empty. I don’t know what I want for Christmas but I know I will never get one without buying gifts and Christmas gifts for myself.
There are many gifts for Christmas that you can make yourself, it doesn’t have to be too expensive. You can buy a picture frame and place a picture inside to place on your desk. Or maybe you want something more personalized than just the basic wrapping paper and red ribbons but the prices are right there. If you do decide to make your own you can find the materials at your local craft store and if you want you can buy some for extra.
If you want a little something unique and special then why not buy some items from different stores and then find the products that you like the most and make some more of your own. Maybe you might make an ornament out of a photo or find a craft store with a lot of craft supplies so you can put them together.
My dad always tells me I don’t know what I want for Christmas, but he really loves all of the Christmas presents he gets. I remember the first Christmas we ever got as a family he bought us a tree and he wanted the whole family to use it. He knew we were spending money on it but he still bought it all for us. He was a great guy and he made us to have fun and that’s what he would want for Christmas.
So the next time you think about what you want for Christmas just remember the gift gatasanta. He made this year of ours so special.
